Q?

How long do photo sessions last?

A.

Our objective is to ensure that every photo session produces outstanding photo selections.  Typical photo shoots are planned as one hour for a single location or two hours for multiple locations -- such as both outdoors and in our studio.  However, we always leave buffer time between sessions so we can extend at no cost if there are any concern that our objective has not been met.  There are also exceptions.... Weddings are all day, baby sessions are always scheduled for at least 90 minutes, and we offer an optional 20 minute "rapid portrait session" for business executives looking for just a single perfect headshot.

Q?

How many clothes should I bring?

A.

Twice as many as you think you need.  Most sessions have plenty of time to include multiple wardrobes and I can help you pick the clothes that will be the most flattering in your photos.

Q?

Is there a secret for truly outstanding studio portraits?

A.

Of course there are lots of secrets.  One example that you control is powder.  Yes, as in makeup..... even for guys.  There is a reason that even male actors get made up with a heavy dose of non-reflective powder before getting in front of the camera.  Shine is always bad.  Don't worry, we have powder you can borrow in case you agree and came unprepared.

Q?

UofM or MSU?

A.

Are you kidding?  This is Ann Arbor!  I do have great fun taking portraits of MSU and OSU graduates with maize and blue backgrounds so watch out!

Q?

Where is your portrait studio located?

A.

My full size fully equipped studio is in my home.  It is a great place to work.  I know you are jealous!  I am half way between Ann Arbor and Plymouth along M-14.  Click on "Contact" to see a map and create your own specific directions.
